Google Nexus One Smartphone Versus IPhone

Google has finally and officially announced its Nexus One phone. This new phone will be a competitor to iPhone at smartphone market. Lets look what has Google added to its new phone or so called superphone.

The phone is running Android 2.1 Eclair OS. The phone camera is capable to take shots at 5 megapixels with an LED flash support. A plus is of course a proximity sensor and GPS chip.

The phone is classical touchscreen-only device but not multi-touch like iPhone. The dimensions are 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm which is thinner that iPhone. As already said it runs the Android 2.1 operating system on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and has 512Mb RAM with 512Mb ROM. New applications need to be installed to main 512 MB memory, which is Android limit for now. MicroSD card slot is present.
