
Important thing about buckwheat is that it is not a cereal grain. This is especially useful for people which have problems with any kind of grains. Buckwheat is a relative to rhubarb or sorrel and it is a fruit seed. What is especially health beneficial is the content of flavonoids and especially one flavonoid that is called rutin. Eating buckwheat results in lowering bad cholesterol, preventing diabetes and in the same time is delivering magnesium which is important for proper muscle function. The rutin helps with repairing veins cells which brings their flexibility and functions back.
