What actually this Bacillus anthracis bacteria is? The term “anthrax” is known but not everybody know that it is a bacteria. The basic symptoms which cause this bacteria are flu-like symptoms with fever greater than 100 F/38 C, cough, sore throat. The sore starts as a raised bump and develops into a painless ulcer with a black area in the center, usually on face or hands. The symptoms occur within 7 days of infection. The infection is treated with antibiotics and success depends on the type of anthrax bacteria and how soon treatment begins. Anthrax can be spread from infected animal products like wool or meat or as weapon. Transfer of infection from a infected person to another is not known.
